Focus on Tara

This is a call to arts practitioners and event organizers whose creative efforts are inspired and underpinned by Irish/Celtic cultural heritage.
Let's lend our voices, our talents, to the Anam Cara for Tara arts action campaign. We must act quickly, because freeway construction sites are in place across the beautiful glens and valleys of this ancient heritage area. 250 year-old Elms and Oaks are being cut down and important archaeological sites are being demolished.
Each of us can become informed, and tell others about this issue. Download and photocopy the b&w information handbill to share with friends and colleagues, at parties, work, school, etc.. Present a local event, e.g. large or small public or private events including lectures, concerts, film screenings, house concerts and parties, focused on informing friends, colleagues and audiences: ask them to write a letter or send an email to Irish heads of State, International Diplomats, and the Irish media: Addresses and a sample letter are available here: >>>more
This campaign will culminate with the launch of the first annual Anam Cara Festival of liberal, performing and visual Arts: celebrating the important role heritage plays in promoting vibrant cultural values. |

Global Arts Collective will supply pre-press art for customizable posters, flyers and a b&w information handbills, and this website will support collaborators around the world. >>>more
